Erika Valencia is a bilingual licensed social worker presently working as Mental Health Therapist. Erika received her master’s degree from NYU Silver School of Social Work in 2016 and has been providing mental health services to individuals, families and groups within underserved communities for the past six years. Erika is certified in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) which is a relationship based intervention that helps children and their families heal from trauma. Erika’s position as a Latina immigrant influences her ability to work through a relational and anti-oppressive lens with the belief that the wisdom clients often seek through psychotherapy is in the hands of the beholder.
