Understanding the Mind-Body Connection
1-day Workshop for Female Teens

Join Erika Valencia and Jadenae` Trabacchi in a workshop that discusses and informs youth from ages 14-17 about the mental and physiological health connection. Erika is a bilingual social worker, currently practicing as a Mental Health Therapist. She is certified in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and uses her professional experience to help individuals and families overcome obstacles by discovering and strengthening their internal sources. Jadenae` is a Board-Certified Health Coach and Certified Nutritional Consultant, who works with individuals and groups on making positive dietary and lifestyle changes to achieve their health and wellness goals, including reversing chronic ailments. She also has a background in education, with a focus on art and design education, art therapy, and linguistic studies. The workshop experience will provide activities, information, practices, and snacks for youths to build a more intuitive connection with their mind and body. 
This 2.5 hour workshop will be broken into three "mini-sessions" with presentations, activities, and a goodie bag! Erika will focus on providing a wellness check-in, and presenting information about the gut-brain connection. Jadenae` will then work with the adolescents to provide information on creating a personal self-care menu, and an activity that presents and discusses trigger foods. The workshop will close with an activity where the two wellness practitioners will connect how this ties into our overall bio-individuality. The objective is for each attendee to leave with a greater understanding of their needs as a growing individual approaching adulthood, the ability to identify which healthy habits intrigue them to adapt, and an understanding of how to intuitively assess and identify their needs to show up as the best version of themselves, at any given time. 
Workbooks, Writing Utensils, Art Supplies, and Goodie Bags with snacks will be provided. We look forward to working with your growing adolescent on their path to self-discovery!
